Bradley Oaks

Description

This project was a combination shoreline stabilization/upland native vegetation buffer project completed during summer 2000 on shoreline fronting 16 condominiums on Bradley Creek in the New Hanover County.

Technical Details

The project included the use of BIOLOG treatment (as a natural alternative to bulkhead) with marsh plantings, as well as the planting of a natural vegetative buffer along approximately 400 feet of shoreline. This vegetative buffer effectively replaces traditional turf lawn and provides a pollutant "buffer" to Bradley Creek.
