Green, Best, Lupton, Laws

Description

This project consisted of four adjoining, individual property shorelines along Bogue Sound — an area of high wave intensity and vulnerable to storms.

Technical Details

A stone sill was constructed along the total 400-foot shoreline. An environmental science class from Carteret Community College planted the shoreline on June 19 with approx. 2,000 wetland plants. NCCF designed, coordinated, supervised and provided 50% of the direct cost of the project to each property owner.
