Hi folks-I've just joined the group on behalf of Nova Scotia's award-winning ecological landscaper, Helping Nature Heal Inc ( www.helpingnatureheal.com ) . We do lots of living shoreline work here on Canada's Atlantic edge, and it's a much-needed sustainable alternative to the typical rock wall. The business owner, Rosmarie Lohnes, has been adapting living shoreline approaches to Canada's maritimes for 15 years. Now we are very pleased to support one of our amazing staff members, Kirsten Elis (nee Busche), as she pursues her MSc studying the effectiveness of living shoreline management on Nova Scotia's south shore, as compared to other approaches. Kirsten is still in the midst of her research and we are looking forward to sharing results when she is finished. For now, I'd like to share two blog posts that Kirsten has created about her ongoing research. helpingnatureheal.com/living-shoreline-r...rs-project-part-1/We know this is really important work, especially in the face of climate change. We would be very pleased to expand our network locally and internationally to connect around living shoreline work. Please be in touch.Best,Caitlin DoucetteDesigner & Community Engagement ManagerHelping Nature Heal Inc
