Plymouth Park, Charleston

Description

The project funded a large living shoreline in the City of Charleston, SC, which reduced erosion along 275 feet of shoreline. This project was on a larger scale and received $197,000 in funding from NOAA. This example demonstrates methods of shoreline stabilization, marsh revitalization, and fisheries habitat revival through the creation of a living shoreline.
