New Hampshire is hosting a conference on Dec.11 "The Hard and Soft of Shoreline Management: Perspectives and Tools for New Hampshire".  The conference will be held at the Portsmouth Harbor Events and Conference Center. Background statement: Shoreline management is a challenge under the best circumstances. Safety, property, municipal and state infrastructure, and natural, historical and cultural resources all need to be considered when making shoreline management decisions. These challenges grow with more frequent and severe weather events coupled with rising sea levels, which will continue to change coastal conditions in the future. This conference is designed with time for participants to discuss options and priorities from their perspectives and learn the advantages and disadvantages of different shoreline management options for NH. It is meant to open and broaden the dialog about shoreline management options for NH.This is one of the first opportunities to open a dialog with New Hampshire coastal decision-makers around the challenges of shoreline management in the state.  Hard%20and%20Soft%20FLYER%20LoRz.pdf
